Google has launched the latest major update to its search algorithm, which is the computer program that decides the order in which search results are displayed. Known as the Google Panda update, the changes are reportedly clamping down on websites with 'poor content' by stopping them appearing high up in its search results.
It is widely believed that content farms have been specifically targeted. These are websites with the main goal of selling advertising space. The websites use various tactics to get their web pages high up in the search results, so that they can then sell advertising space at a premium.
